Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We celebrated with Jason's family earlier in the week. Santa brought her a Barbie Jeep to the Tryon's house. She got a lot of fun things from them. We then traveled to Garden City to spend time with my family. It was good to see my grandpa and geesa. Emersyn was delighted to wake up to an ariel vanity and dress up clothes that Santa brought. She had so many presents between my parents and us, that she got bored opening them and stopped half way through. At about 4pm that day, she decided she wanted to go for round 2. I hope that she doesn't think that there will always be 2 rounds of gifts. We hope your holidays were safe and full of blessings....ours was.

Christmas Preparations & Parties

Christmas this year has been exciting. Emersyn is really getting into the spirit. We listen to Christmas music every chance we get. Her and I snuggle up and watch the old classic Christmas movies, like Rudolph, Santa Claus is coming to town, Grinch and Frosty. We also adopted an Elf from the North Pole and named him Herbie. He flies home each night to report to Santa on Emersyn's behavior. She enjoys learning about Santa and is really excited for him to come this year. It is amazing to have a child at Christmas. The excitement of a child this time of year is truly fulfilling. We have made ornaments, painted pottery at a local store and baked cookies so far. Jason and I went to Jenny & Dustin's Griswold family Christmas party this weekend. Jason Dressed up as Cousin Eddie, and I was Ellen from the movie when they are eating Christmas Dinner.

It is hard to see his dickie under his shirt just like the movie.

Jenny was Margo from the movie when she goes to the Griswold's house and the squirrel jumps on her. She nailed it.

We take these cookies with us when we ride around town listening to Christmas music and looking at the lights.

My Future Wildcat

Here is a video of Emersyn singing the fight song. This was about the 10th take, so needless to say, she was done at this point with pleasing mommy. Wait until the very end for a special surprise! We couldn't be prouder.

Thanksgiving Fun

Over Thanksgiving, we went to Garden City and then down to Dallas for the last football game. Jason, Levi & me headed off to Dallas to meet Jason's family there to cheer on the cats. It was a great game and a fun way to end the season. Here are pictures from our November!

Pumpkins & Corn Mazes & Candy Oh My...

October has been very busy. Filled with Football and lots of Halloween activities. I have been doing arts and crafts with Emersyn during the day to teach her about fall and Halloween. When asking her what she wanted to be from Halloween, she told me Dorthy. She is very into "Bizzard of Boz" as she calls it. She watches Wizard of Oz everyday and sings the songs. As usual, Ollie had to be dressed as a character from the movie. He was very insulted by the idea that he should be toto, because toto was a dog...and he certainly isn't.

Emersyn was into Trick-or-Treating today. She was very polite and used her Please and Thank You's. She also wanted to eat each piece of candy as she got it. Put a sucker in the bag, eat it right away. No candy for Mommy.

We started this month by going to one of my co-workers weddings in Lawrence. It was at a park and Emersyn loved playing around on the rocks and toys.
