Emersyn's 1st Christmas 2008

Christmas was so WONDERFUL this year! Christmas, for the past two years, has been a holiday that we wished wouldn't come. It was such a hard time for us. We are so thankful that Emersyn's presence can make the holiday a happy time again! She got a wagon from Santa. She was more interested in looking at the pretty presents with their bows and ribbons under the tree. My parents came to Topeka to celebrate it with us. Jason had to work the night shift on Christmas and we missed him dearly! I went to bed that night feeling so complete and thanking God for the greatest gift in the world. We are so thankful for this breathe of new life.
She decides from now and then that she wants to feed herself. She will take the spoon and attempt to give herself the cereal.

Why do mom's love their children in hats? Because it's so darn cute!

Can you find the baby?

I attempted to take a picture of everything she got for her 1st Christmas. I was on a step ladder in the corner of her room, and you STILL can't see everything! She is blessed!

I got the first cabbage patch dolls when they came out for Christmas when I was 1. Emersyn got a special 25th anniversary doll. My parents had one specially made that looked like my first doll. They even had the company give the doll a birth certificate name with Emersyn Reagan on it and the doll's birthday is August 7 just like Emersyn's.

My dad focusing on our new TV they gave us. It is Emerson brand...HA HA.

Say Cheese!

Family picture. Jason laughed that Emersyn & I had matching robes. No I will NOT be one of those mom's that wears matching clothes with my daughter.

Yes that is Oliver on the kitchen chair next to Emersyn's face.

Christmas breakfast...Similac.

Emersyn in her wagon...she's not impressed.

Staring at the presents rather than the wagon.

"Look Santa Came!" Can you find Oliver?

Waking up out of her room to see what Santa brought.

"I got SOCKS for Christmas...really?"

"Who's there?"

Checking out what's in the stocking.

Here is what Santa brought in her stocking. I couldn't find a stocking that I liked for her. So I drew this reindeer on felt and cut out all of the pieces. I sewed it on this stocking. I'm going to get her name embroidered on it to finish it off.

Busy Christmas Weekend

The weekend of Dec 19-21 we had a busy weekend. We started off the weekend traveling to Manhattan Friday night for a member of Jason's family birthday party (Colten Tadtman). On Saturday, Jason & I exchanged Christmas gifts. Because it was our first Christmas to have a child on earth, Jason wanted to get me a memorable present. Jason took Emersyn on one of his days off to the local pottery place. He & her made me an ornament with her hand print on it. He also made a picture frame for our first family photo. He now appreciates how long it takes when I am there for hours. He was the only dad in the store & didn't take a bottle. She smeared the purple paint all over her face and clothes and screamed for a bottle he didn't have. I wish I could have been there to witness this chaos. Emersyn & mommy got daddy a smoker he wanted. On Sunday, we went to Jason's parents house for Christmas. Santa came and Emersyn got a lot of good stuff.

Getting very sleepy.

She's always full of smiles.

Jason's new smoker. YUM!

My frame that he didn't get to finish because of the screaming for the bottle he didn't have with him.

Reading my card Jason recorded with Emersyn talking and the dogs barking in the background.

4 month pictures JCPenny

We took these pictures on Emersyn's 4 month birthday. It was Pat's (Jason's dad's) birthday as well.
The Tryon/Leonard family.

She pulled on my necklace right before the shot

These girls will get in so much trouble together some day.

Look at the goofball blowing bubbles.

Christmas Preperation

These were taken while putting up our Christmas Tree. We put it up Dec 4th....moments after she rolled over for the first time. She had a very productive night!!
We call this her "rapper" picture. She looks like a little rapper in front of her name with nothing but a fur coat on. This is a picture that she will kill us someday for having of her. We thought it was too cute.

Chilling in her coat. She had a very busy night.

Her eating her fur coat.

My mom got her this fur coat because every girl needs one.
