Moving on to the blessings, Jason got a new job. He is working as a Merchandising Analyst for Payless here at their headquarters in Topeka. He is really enjoying it so far. The company is very family oriented and the best part is he brings new things home everyday for me!! Purses, scarves, belts, jewelry, sunglasses, bags, etc... Not to mention the discount on all of the brands they own. It has been very beneficial to Emersyn and I, for they own Robees and StrideRite. What's even better is that he no longer works shift work!!! Yes that's right Emersyn has a daddy that's home at normal hours and on holidays!! It's WONDERFUL!!!! I am still at my job and loving it. I' getting geared up for summer in which I work full time, vs, the part time I work during the school year.
I thought I'd post some pictures from some of the things we have enjoyed as a family lately. This isn't everything, I've got a lot more, but honestly have not enough patience to sit down and go through 100's of pictures to blog about. This is why I should blog each day so that it wasn't a "hassle" when it came down to putting something up. I've got some videos that I will post
The Circus....We lasted about 2 hours. She wasn't interested in the "people" acts, just the animals. She told us what the animals were and made the noises that they make. She was more interested in the $1 balloon she got when leaving.
I want her to love cooking as much as I do (one of those qualities my grandma instilled in me), however, this is not what I had in mind. Is it Spring yet??????
Wasn't basketball season great! We saw some games and hope to get season tickets for next year. Emersyn really got into the band and the fight song. She says K-S-U CATS constantly. We are sooo proud of her....and the basketball team too. Way to go boys! Ashley Smalley-Stanker and I went to the Big XII Championship game. It was a blast and just a "girls night" even though we didn't come up with a W.
Emersyn was beginning to tell me "poop" and "potty" after she had gone, so I thought let's just try potty training. She is using the potty, however it is still not 100%. She is good with the "poop", however the "potty" is still not consistent. Not bad for a 19 month old though. I think the M&M's help.
I thought trimming the back of her hair would make it appear thicker. Trying to cut her hair and get her to hold still was like trying to tie a squirrel down and pull out a tooth. The before is listed above, just a tiny trim.
My Grandma got these tights for Emersyn before she passed (12/31) as a Christmas present. I wanted a picture with them so that I would always treasure them.
