These pictures were taken of her first few weeks of life!
She was jaundice when she was born, so she sat in her crib her great-grandpa Blaske made her, and sun-bathed.
This was the day we brought her home. August 9, 2008. The nurses at the hospital made her this bow that they stuck to her head with surgical glue. (It came out with water like they said it would) She was the only girl in the nursery, so she got spoiled by them!
Oliver and Emersyn at a couple of weeks old. He didn't leave her side once! We used to get after him, because we would be downstairs and could hear him whinning but couldn't figure out where he was....we were hearing him over the baby monitor. He was in her room, whinning for her to get out of her crib, where he could see her!
Here is the big brother moments after bringing her home from the hospital. Ashley Smalley made him this "big brother" shirt!!
We took my mother over to Jason's parents pool to show her how Oliver swims. Emersyn sported her new bathing suit at one week old! She didn't get in the water, in fact, she slept and sat with my mom in the shade the whole time.
Again, Oliver smiling! We talked to him a lot before she was born and told him what to expect. We find that we left out some key points when talking about her. We told him that she would throw his toys and they would be the best of friends. When she cries, he brings over a toy and puts in her lap or face. We forgot to tell him that it would be a few years before she would be throwing anything for him....sorry buddy!
First bath. Just a quick rinse off in the sink.
Bringing her home for the first time. We let him greet her. He did quite well. She brought him a pink BOBO toy. Those are his favorites. He usually chews up the toy in the car on the way home from buying one. It is December and he still has that thing in tact. We think he will treasue it forever!
Her two week picture.
This was my sleeper when I was a baby. My mom brought me some of my old dresses and clothes to let her wear. Some of them were still stylish.
